Annual eduroam Update, Fri. 2/13: You May Receive a Prompt
UC Davis will soon make an annual update to the eduroam Wi-Fi network. Depending on your device, you may need to accept a prompt to continue using eduroam to access the internet.
On Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., Information and Educational Technology (IET) will install a new electronic security certificate for eduroam. These certificates expire periodically, and updates are scheduled yearly.
The certificate tells your devices it is connected to the network. When the update happens, experiences will vary depending on your device, model, and operating system.
- Some devices will accept the certificate automatically.
- Others may receive a prompt to update (like what is seen below) or may have to manually install the new certificate.
Review this knowledge base article about the certificate update for more information.
