Update: As of approximately 6:30 p.m. PST on Thursday, January 22, Microsoft reports that users continue to experience degraded service functionality or be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services. Some of the impacted service functions include, but may not be limited to:
- Sending and receiving email through Exchange Online. Users may be receiving a "451 4.3.2 temporary server issue" error message when attempting to send or receive email through Outlook.
- Searching within SharePoint Online, Microsoft OneDrive, and/or Microsoft Teams.
- Creating chats, meetings, teams, channels or adding members in Microsoft Teams.

As of 2:00 p.m. on Thurs., January 22, 2026, Microsoft is investigating issues affecting multiple Microsoft 365 services. Some of the impacted service functions include, but may not be limited to, sending and receiving email through Exchange Online. This is a vendor-driven incident, affecting Microsoft users beyond UC Davis.
