Fight Spam Calls with New Zoom Phone Feature
Tired of spam calls interrupting your day? Introducing automated spam marking for Zoom Phone!
We are excited to announce a new feature for Zoom Phone at UC Davis, designed to eliminate unwanted interruptions and save valuable time. Beginning July 7, 2025, Zoom will automatically flag suspicious incoming calls as “Maybe Spam.” The Zoom auto-mark spam enhancement is being added in direct response to campus feedback.
If you use Zoom Phone, you don’t need to take any action. Once the spam marker is enabled, Zoom will automatically mark suspicious calls, so you don’t have to.
Zoom Phone users can expect the following benefits:
- Time & energy savings: No more manually identifying and dealing with spam calls.
- Better user experience: Fewer interruptions from unwanted calls helps you focus on work and other tasks.
- Improved protection: Marking a call as spam gives you a heads up that an incoming call may be unwanted, suspicious, or even malicious.
- Targeted blocking option: Prevent future callbacks by completely blocking individual numbers.
