Celebrate Innovation & Collaboration Across UC: Awards & Proposals Open for 2026 UC Tech Annual Conference

Want to connect with technology-minded colleagues, share your accomplishments, and learn about innovation and collaboration across the UC system? The 2026 UC Tech Annual Conference is the place for you!

UC Tech is happening July 8-10, 2026, in person at UC Merced. The conference is held at a different UC campus every year and celebrates innovation and collaboration within the UC technology community. 

Important note: Please check with your supervisor about your unit’s attendance and travel policies before submitting a proposal or award nomination.

Submit a Session Proposal

Conference organizers are inviting UC employees to submit their boldest ideas and innovations in the form of a presentation, panel, birds of a feather session, or poster. The deadline to submit a UC Tech session has been extended to March 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (PST). 

The conference will feature seven program tracks: 

• Enabling Learning and Discovery
• Forging Intelligent Infrastructure
• Leading Through Change
• Running the System
• Secure by Design
• Systems of Care
• The Human Interface

Apply or Nominate a Colleague for a UC Tech Award

Another way to showcase your impact on tech or recognize a colleague is through the UC Tech Awards. The awards program celebrates UC employees who are designing, implementing, or managing high-impact technology initiatives at their university. There are seven awards in critical areas, such as design, IT security, artificial intelligence, and operational excellence. Apply for yourself or nominate a colleague by March 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (PST).
