UC Davis is transforming how we manage digital identities. From sharing a file, to checking your grades or your retirement status, our digital identities have an impact on our UC Davis experience. Digital Identity and Access Transformation is multi-year initiative to innovate the UC Davis technology infrastructure, meet the current digital trust and identity landscape and set our campus up for success in the future.

What is Identity and Access Management (IAM)?

Identity and Access Management (IAM) refers to your digital identity/ies at UC Davis and the personalized access you need to teach, learn, work, and collaborate with others at UC Davis and beyond. A robust IAM system protects your privacy and university data, and provides you with the right access to UC Davis resources and services.

Identity management connects you, and only you, with your UC Davis digital identity/ies (e.g., student, faculty, staff, student-staff, staff-alumni).
Access management enables you to access the resources and services you are eligible to use based on consistent, robust standards.
