Secure Email Authentication

Setup instructions for Windows & Macintosh

If you are a campus email user and receive an email from ithelp@ucdavis.edu regarding the need to secure your email password, follow the instructions below and to the right to ensure you do not have an interruption in service.

Please note that no email will be lost and you will be able to access email through MyUCDavis or Geckomail at any time.

To change the setting in your email program:
1. Identify the email program you use.
2. Select the corresponding instructions from the list above.
3. Change the SSL setting on each computer you use to check your email to ensure secure transmission of your email password.
