UC Davis Cyber-Safety Program: Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Planning
If you are a computer user within an academic or administrative department on campus, you may have a Technology Support Coordinator (TSC) who is working to secure your system. Before taking any of the security steps listed below, please check with your TSC.

Learn about Data Backups | Back to Cyber-Safety MainCampus units must develop, implement and maintain a backup plan for restricted information residing on electronic storage. The backup media must be protected from unauthorized access and stored in a location that is separate from the originating source. The backups must be tested to ensure recoverability from the backup media.
